He was predeceased by: his parents, Balind Birtalan and Mary Birtalan (Toth); and his siblings, Ben Birtalan and Julie Lukas. He is survived by: his wife Victoria Valentino Birtalan; and his sons, James Birtalan (Kathy) of New Castle, Robert Birtalan of Wampum, Ron Birtalan of Mt. Jackson and John Birtalan (Amy) of East Palestine, Ohio. He is also survived by five grandchildren, and five great grandchildren.
