He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilson Knappenberger and Dorothy Knappenberger (Greenzweig); and his siblings, Harold, Donald, Stephen Knappenberger, Joyce Versuk, Eleanor Meixsell and Annabelle Gross.
He is survived by: his spouse Gail F. Knappenberger (Hontz); his daughters, Sheryl (Robert Merkel) of Forest Inn and Terry (Mark Stout) of Palmerton; his grandchildren, Jason, Robert, Trese, Christopher and Jenelle; his great grandchildren, Alexis, Eli and Easton; and his siblings, Allen, Kenneth Knappenberger and Carol Sidor.
