He was predeceased by: his parents, John S. Helt and Jennie Helt (Whitmire); and his sister Eloise Schuyler. He is survived by: his wife Maybelle; his daughters, Rebecca "Becky" Lincoln and Michele Litchfield; his stepchildren, Wayne Zimmerman, Karen Lance, Charlotte Snyder, Robert Pilz, William Pilz, Edward Pilz, Janis Pilz and Sandra Ernst; and his sister Margaret Harris. He is also survived by three grandchildren; three great grandchildren; 33 step-grandchildren; 17 step-great grandchildren.
