He was predeceased by: his parents, John Bechtold and Helen Bechtold (Parker); and his siblings, John, Robert, William Bechtold and Mary Ann Warmkessel.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara (Steckel); his children, John Bechtold (Patty), Charlene Stevens, Chris Shuler and Kevin Shuler; his brothers, James Bechtold, Richard Bechtold and Ronald Bechtold (Eileen); his grandchildren, Kaitlyn Stevens, Joleen Stevens, Jessica Bechtold, Samantha Chatenka (Bruce), Sonya Mora (Rick), Kevin Shuler, Jr., Tylar Shuler and Cody Shuler; and his great grandchildren, Lincoln Mora, Cora Stevens, Kayden, Kendra, Cameron Bechtold, Hailey Hottenstein and Channing Chatenka. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
