With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Margaret S. Mellinger of Walnut Bottom, Pennsylvania, who passed away on January 14, 2024 at the age of 103. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Margaret S. Mellinger to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Clara M. Young (Zell) and Clarence N. Young; her husband Paul R. Mellinger; her siblings, Martha Walker, Esther Throne, Grace Myers, Mary Deitch, Donald Young, John Young and Norman Young; her foster sons, Eddie E. Sampson and Eugene Ludt; her son-in-law James M. Goodyear, Sr.; and her grandson Zachary J. Ziegler.
She is survived by: her daughters, Carol E. Neil of Shippensburg and Darlene K. Ziegler (Jack) of Newville; her granddaughters, Kristin D. Ziegler of Hilliard and Bethany A. Woodward of Shippensburg; her nephew Charles "Kenny" Houser of Newville; and her siblings, Dorothy Kepner of Carlisle, Emily Hoover (Bill) of Carlisle, Reba Wert of Carlisle, Clarence Young Jr. (Vonnie) of Newville and Marlin Young of Orrtanna. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
