He was predeceased by: his wife Elizabeth; his parents, James McGarry and Marie McGarry (Elizabeth W.); his son-in-law Vincent J. Almony; and his siblings, James, William, Joseph, Richard, Francis, Marie and Anna.
He is survived by: his children, Robert G. McGarry (Patricia) and Susan E. Almony (Vincent); his grandchildren, Kathleen, Jackelyn, Rebecca, Alexandra, Robert and Mare; his great grandchildren, Owen, Nolan, Rhys, Maeve, Leo and Kaelyn; and his sister Doris Arnoldy (John).
