He was predeceased by: his brother George Rhine. He is survived by: his wife Josephine "Penny" Kalivas; his daughters, Nicole Santo, Gina Di Santo and Joanne Kalivas; his sister-in-law Lynda Kalivas (Gary Hibbert); his nephew Thomas Hibbert; his siblings, James Rhine, Robert Rhine (Donna) and Paula Powell (Rhine); and also, Marylou Kalivas (Bill Hibbert) and Gypsy. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and good friends.
