She was predeceased by: her parents, Margaret Summers Johnson and George H. Summers, II; and her significant other J. Peter Braun. She is survived by: her daughters, Jill Braun Helwig, Cindy Braun Dunn and Betsy Braun Billigmeier; her son-in-law Don Helwig; her brother George H. Summers, III; her sisters-in-law, Kathy Summers and Carol Braun Tatum; and her grandchildren, Jessica Helwig, John Helwig, Erin Billigmeier and Lauren Billigmeier.
