It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John D. Lewis of Verona, Pennsylvania, who passed away on January 7, 2025, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of John D. Lewis to pay them a last tribute.
In the vast expanse of eternity, John shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid John farewell, his loved ones carry with them the precious gift of his memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
He was predeceased by: his wife Katherine "Kay" Lewis (Kanakis); and his siblings, Athena Binikos and Perry D. Lewis. He is survived by: his children, Sandra Patrinos (late Theodore), Cardullias (Peter) of Naperville Illinois, Gus Lewis (Carol) of Plum and Karen Affrica (late Dan) of Allegheny Township. He is also survived by 14 great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Saturday, January 11th 2025 at 10:00 AM. A prayer was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the Cremation and Alternative Services, Inc. (421 Allegheny Ave, Oakmont, PA 15139). A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Theotokos Greek Orthodox Church (12 Washington Ave, Oakmont, PA 15139).
Memorial contributions may be made to the Holy Dormition Greek Orthodox Church.
