He was predeceased by: his parents, Ambrose Ditz and Edna Smerker Ditz; his wife Freda M. Rex Ditz; his children, Robert and Kathy; his son-in-law Marvin Lander Jr.; and his brothers, James Ditz, Paul Ditz and Leonard.
He is survived by: his children, William D. Ditz (Kimberly) of Lewis Run, PA, Diane Lutz (Raymond) of Lucinda and Carol Lander of Fryburg; his grandchildren, Melissa Bann (Ryan), Alicia Holliday (Joshua), Katherine Lutz, Andrew Lutz, Sara Irwin (Ryan), Rebecca Lander, David Ditz and Joseph Ditz; his great grandchildren, Madison and Morgan Bann; and his sister Margaret "Peg" Zacherl.
