He was predeceased by: his parents, Lloyd Schwab and Bernice Schwab; his wife Dorothy Fry; his son James Sherl; and his siblings, Judy, Wade and Raymond.
He is survived by: his children, Julie Schwab of Venus, Joy Shotts (Jeff) of Venus, Jeff Schwab of Venus, Jone McKissick (Bill) of Venus and Jennifer Schwab of Clarion; his grandchildren, Kayla Clark (Kelly Giltinan), Savanna Asche (Eric), Skyler Shotts (Monica), Chad McKissick (Emily), Chase McKissick, Channing McKissick (Julianna), Chelsea McKissick (Kolin Zacherl), Michael LaVan (Danielle), Matthew LaVan and McKenna Hornberger (Terry); his sisters, Marian Hartzell-Aaron, Donna Morrison and Carole Pasquarette; his siblings-in-law, Beverly Schwab, Donna Moon, Jerry Pasquarette and Dennis Norma Fry; and his close friend Jean Davis.
Visitation was held on Saturday, October 19th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, on Sunday, October 20th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Faller/Rupert Funeral Home and Cremation Service (19200 PA-208, Fryburg, PA 16326). A funeral service was held on Monday, October 21st 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Venus United Evangelical Church (113 PA-157, Venus, PA 16364).
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to the Venus United Evangelical Church toward the Pavilion project.
