It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard Smathers Jr. of Venus, Pennsylvania, born in Oil City, Pennsylvania, who passed away on January 24, 2024, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard D. Smathers, Sr. and Clara L. Smathers (Greer); and his mother-in-law Shirley King.
