He was predeceased by: his parents, James N. Thomas and Frances Thomas DeFord (Holmes); his sister Violet Thomas Blakely; and his grandson Matthew Thomas. He is survived by: his children, Katharine Rodgers of Seneca, David Thomas (Judy) of Colbert, Timothy Thomas (Nikki) of Greenville and Russ Thomas (Tammy) of Grassflat; his great-niece Tonya Sharrar of Cranberry; his grandchildren, Patrick Thomas, Laken Hartzell (Matt), Heather Coleman, Morgan Gandy (Scott), Shelby Sorrells (CJ), Keresten Cauffield (Cassie), Codie Thomas (Lynette), Mikkayla Thomas, M'Kenze Thomas and James Thomas; his siblings, Sharon Leathers (Jim), Jim Thomas, Ollie Grey (Leroy), Dollie Richardson, Contee Thomas (Joyce) and Raymond Thomas; and also Kayleigh Sharrar of Erie. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
