He was predeceased by: his sister Ruth Helwig; and his parents, Verner Watkins and Florence Watkins. He is survived by: his wife Lois Watkins (Smith); his children, Richard Watkins, Michael Watkins (Karen), Jennifer MacKay (Douglas) and Kathryn Dorsey (John); his grandchildren, Dylan Watkins, Alex, Ben, Maddie MacKay, Parker and Campbell Dorsey; and his pet Quincey.
