He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph C. and Mary F. Tonecha (Snow); his son James Tonecha; and his grandson Alexander Tonecha (Danielle). He is survived by: his siblings, Anna Mae Bendel, Elizabeth Zilka, Robert Tonecha and Mary Schweitzer; his children, Jay Tonecha, Gery Tonecha, Joy Lamars (George) and Marla Tonecha (Jennifer); his grandchildren, Joshua Tonecha (Katie), James Tonecha, Jacqueline Lamars and Joseph Tonecha (Deepa); his daughters-in-law, Joan, Susan and Lori; his uncle Joe; and also, Jordan, Kenzie, Keely, Kaycee and Louise.
Visitation was held on Monday, April 21st 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Marshall Marra Funeral Home (216 Chess St, Monongahela, PA 15063). A prayer was held on Tuesday, April 22nd 2025 at 9:15 AM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Tuesday, April 22nd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Francis of Assisi Church (3609 Washington Ave, Finleyville, PA 15332).
