He is survived by: his parents, Kevin O'Toole of Pittsburgh, PA and Carol O'Toole of Venetia, PA.; his sisters, Maille O'Toole and Nora O'Toole; and his grandparents, John, Lois O'Toole of Pittsburgh, William and Gail Boice of Venetia, PA. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

“Although I never had the opportunity to meet Liam, I am amazed by his accomplishments during his short time. We are deeply saddened by his passing and pray for Liam and his family. On his recent application to the Ancient Order of Hibernians in America, Inc. (AOH) he listed his name as J. Liam O'Toole, clearly proud of his Irish American Heritage. The AOH will honor his memory by awarding a Project St. Patrick Seminarian Scholarship in his name next month. May he rest in Peace”
