He was predeceased by: his parents, Michael Murnin and Delores Gleason Murnin; and his siblings, Jim, Francis, John, Margaret and Colette.
He is survived by: his wife Julia R. Vavro Murnin; his sons, Michael J. Murnin, Jr. (Kathleen), Dr. Patrick Murnin (Cheryl), Dr. Mark Murnin (Kim) and Robert Murnin (Holly); his grandchildren, Michael, III, Jenifer (Tom), Patrick, Christopher, Marissa, Matthew, Jessica and Timothy; his great grandchildren, Remi Anne and Mason; his sister Ann Majdic (Henry); and his sisters-in-law, Rose Filipski, Evelyn Vavro and Joan Murnin.
Due to COVID-19 considerations, there will be a private Mass of Christian Burial in St. Joseph's Church, Forest City with interment in Saint Agnes Cemetery, Forest City that will be limited to immediate family members.
The family would also like to thank the staff of Elmcroft Senior Living Center who assisted in the last part of Michael's battle with Alzheimer's.
