It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jack Fries of Vandling, Pennsylvania, born in Carbondale, Pennsylvania, who passed away on April 18, 2020, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his former wife Roberta Burns Fries; his wife Barbara Obelenus Fries; his parents, Russell B. Fries and Delma Fitze Fries; his brothers, Richard D. "Dick" Fries and Dr. Gene Fries; and his stepson John Obelenus.
He is survived by: his son J. Russell Freis (Jan); his stepchildren, Margaret Nichols, Clifford, Tod Green (Carol) of Dover, DE and Earl Obelenus (Mary Ann); and his sister Joan A. Bartholomay (Allyn). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
