It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Virginia Vanderpool of Vandergrift, Pennsylvania, born in Eglon, West Virginia, who passed away on February 3, 2021, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Earle C. Shaffer and Zorah E. Heckert Shaffer; her husband Jess E. Vanderpool of Cassville, MO; her siblings, Richard Shaffer, Lucille and Beulah McMinn; and her daughter-in-law Shelly Vanderpool (Gregory).
She is survived by: her children, Shirley Jack (David) of Apollo, Catherine Howell of Little Rock, AR, Roger Vanderpool of Tucson, AZ and Evangelism; her siblings, J. Kenneth Shaffer of Baltimore and Ruth Marsh; her granddaughters, Valerie Hajjar (Michael), Rebecca A. Howell, Rachel C. Vanderpool, Katheryn Berger (Scott) and Elizabeth Staton (Aaron); and her great grandchildren, Zachary, Gabriel, Canaan Hajjar, Kensey, Sydney Berger, Teddy and Kitty Staton.
