He was predeceased by: his parents, F. Ralph Shellhammer and Bertha Shellhammer (Bittner); his wife Dorothy Shellhammer (Foy); and his siblings, Daniel, Dale, John, Charles, Ralph Eugene Shellhammer, Ada Hileman, Eva Goldinger, Ola Brown, Esta Bawell, Elva Barber, Iva Rupp, Vida Goldinger, Nina Brown and Retta Ellenberger.
He is survived by: his children, Bob S. Shellhammer (Katsuko) of Vandergrift, Gary A. Shellhammer of Homer City and Linda Hayes (Clair) of Ocala, FL; his grandsons, Christopher, Brian, Erich and Alex; and his sisters, Bertha Whitlinger of Kansas and Rena Henderson of Young Township. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be offered in Robert's memory to St. Paul's Highfield Lutheran Church, 1595 Dime Road, Vandergrift, PA 15690.
