She was predeceased by: her parents, Rufo M. Savastano and Mary Savastano (Strazzerra); her husband William F. Shaner; and her siblings, Pete, Henry Savastano and Joanne Russo.
She is survived by: her children, Vicki M. Azzarone (Joseph) of Gilpin Township, Michael A. Shaner (Kathy) of Naples, FL and James L. Shaner (Michele) of Cecil, PA; her grandchildren, Joseph Stone, Jr. (Holly), Alexandra Corso (Anthony), Mitchel Shaner (Lia), Michael Shaner, Jr. and Joclyn Shaner; her great grandchildren, Giuseppe, Mila, Avalina, Anthony and Ariella; and her brother Robert Savastano (Elaine) of Arizona. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, March 8th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Brady-Curran Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc. (429 Franklin Ave, Vandergrift, PA 15690). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Saturday, March 8th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the St. Gertrude Roman Catholic Church (303 Franklin Ave, Vandergrift, PA 15690). An entombment was held on Saturday, March 8th 2025 at 1:15 PM at the Greenwood Memorial Park (104 Melwood Rd, New Kensington, PA 15068).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Raffelina's name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
