It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joseph V. Fontana of Vandergrift, Pennsylvania, who passed away on January 30, 2023, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Enrico Fontana and Nicolina Fontana (Bonavenna); and his siblings, Richard Fontana, Mary A. Fontana and Theresa Morabito (Lou).
He is survived by: his wife Teresa E. Fontana (Morabito); his children, Enrico S. Fontana (Christine) of Allegheny Township, Jolene A. Fontana (James Davis) of Monroeville, William A. Fontana of Vandergrift, Linda M. Kun (John) of Frederick, MD and Richard D. Fontana of Parks Township; his grandchildren, Jennifer Davis (Lou Douglas), Nicholas Davis (Kara), Danielle DeNunzio, Alexis Kun (Paul McLister), Jacob and Jordan Kun; his great grandchildren, Cameron Matthews, Louie Douglas, Ava Mattei, Jianna Douglas, Legend Davis and Layla Davis; his brother Carl Fontana (Dorothy) of Avonmore; and his brother-in-law Leo Fontana of New Kensington. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations to St. Gertrude Church, Vandergrift, or to the Wounded Warrior Project.
