He was predeceased by: his parents, James Ray and Stella Elizabeth Loffreto Dongiovanni; his wife Bernie Cherre Dongiovanni; his son James "Jimmy Joe" Dongiovanni; and his daughter-in-law Karen Marie Dongiovanni.

He is survived by: his son Jeff A. Dongiovanni of Vandergrift; his grandson Nico Dongiovanni of Vandergrift; and his siblings, Mary Rose Morrill (Philip) of West Leechburg, Michael Dongiovanni of Freeport and Vincent Dongiovanni of Vandergrift. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
