He was predeceased by: his parents, Lacy H. Sturgill and Doris J. Sturgill (Smith); his son James C. Sturgill; and his brother Michael Sturgill. He is survived by: his wife Arlene F. Sturgill (Fennell) of Vandergrift; his daughter Regina Arlene Sturgill; his grandchildren, Laykin Arlene Houston (Jesse), Gary Christopher Sturgill (Olivia), Heather Bell (Tucker), Christina Rau (Derek), Denise Lorent (Jordan), Randy Sturgill (Maggie), Alexis Celender (Bill) and Lacey A. Sturgill; his siblings, Deborah J. Wills, Deanna G. Nichols and Stanley D; and his daughter-in-law Stephanie Rau. He is also survived by 13 great-grandchildren.
