Faith Matthis Obituary

We are sad to announce that on October 11, 2024, at the age of 83, Faith Matthis (Vandergrift, Pennsylvania) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

In the vast expanse of eternity, may Faith find peace everlasting, cradled in the gentle embrace of the universe. And as we stand on the shores of remembrance, may her legacy inspire us to live each day with purpose, passion, and profound gratitude for the gift of life itself.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Floyd Riggle and Mary Duerr Riggle; and her husband J. Ulrich Matthis. She is survived by: her children, Ulrich Matthis III (Lisa) of Mooresville, NC, George Matthis of Parks Township and Tina Cararie (Joe) of Washington; and her grandsons, Ulrich Matthis IV and Michael Cararie.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, October 16th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Dunmire-Kerr & Rowe Funeral Home, Inc. (244 Franklin Ave, Vandergrift, PA 15690). A funeral service was held on Thursday, October 17th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
