It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Betty Joan Lockette of Vanderbilt, Pennsylvania, who passed away on September 12, 2024, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Vinton Ridgely and Rozella Ridgely (Mills); her husband Thomas I. "Sonny" Lockette; her siblings, Vinton "Junie" Ridgely, Jr. and Evelyn (Lockette); and her grandson Christopher M. Brown.
She is survived by: her children, Denise Brown of North Chesterfield, VA, Valarie Carter of Uniontown and Duane Lockette (Sue) of Hopwood, PA; her grandchildren, Erin Brown, Jodie Young, Anthony Brown (Laceena), James Carter (Christy), Jason Carter and Troi Lockette; and her great grandchildren, Christian, Dakarai, Madison, Peyton, Jamesen, Malachi and Miracle. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 20th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Lantz Funeral Home Inc. (297 E Main St, Uniontown, PA 15401). A funeral service was held on Friday, September 20th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
