He was predeceased by: his parents, Theodore Reed and Verna Reed (Kirby); and his siblings, Arlene Shupp, Jim Reed, Joseph Reed and Fred Reed.

He is survived by: his wife Betty L. Reed (Sechrist); and his siblings, Thomas Reed (Barbara) and Jane Pollock. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
