She was predeceased by: her former husband Vincent Garverick; her husband Maynard F. Bertolet; her parents, LaRue Hunter and Erma Hunter (Rockenbrod); and her stepdaughter Barbara Baranowski.
She is survived by: her children, Mark Garverick of Tunkhannock, Lynn Schultz (Jim) of Williamsville, MO and Dawn R. Counsil of Williamsport; and her stepsons, Maynard F. Bertolet, II of Mechanicsburg and Benjamin Bertolet of Harrisburg. She is also survived by twelve grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
