He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Rell and Isabell Eck; his wife Elizabeth R. "Betty" Keller; and his siblings, George, Bernard and Phyllis.
He is survived by: his children, Carlyle J. Rell (Becky) of Jersey Shore and Carlene J. Bower (Richard) of Williamsport; his sister Mary Shuhler; his sister-in-law Patricia Rell; and his grandchildren, Carlyle Rell Jr., Colton Rell, Jackie Bartley (Arthur), Jessica Gross (Scott), Benjamin Bower (Shalissa) and Megan Patterson (Matt). He is also survived by 6 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions in Carlyle's name be made to IC Church or the Rauchtown Nippenose Valley Lions Club, c/o Ginny Lehman, 727 Slickem Lane, Jersey Shore, PA 17740.
