He is survived by: his husband Eleanor MacDonald Sands; his children, James Sands (Bonnie) and Kathleen Lagnese (Paul); and his grandchildren, Patrick Sands (Jamie), Colleen Sands, Julia Lagnese and Emily Lagnese.
