He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Atkins and Bernice Atkins (DiVall); his wife Diane Atkins (Frey); his daughters, Pamela Berman (David Berman), Sheri Evans (Daniel Evans) and Christine Pickell (Christopher Pickell); and his grandchildren, Alexander Bowman, Kathryn Bowman, Daniel Evans, Sheridan Evans, Hope Pickell and Ciara Pickell.

He is survived by: his brother David Atkins (Linda Atkins). He is also survived by children, grandchildren and cousins.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, October 23rd 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Thursday, October 24th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Beinhauer Funeral Home (2828 Washington Rd, Canonsburg, PA 15317). A funeral service was held on Thursday, October 24th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
