He was predeceased by: his sister Patty Reddecliff. He is survived by: his wife Janet Gombar (Zimmerman); his children, Ray Gombar (Jess), Gretchen Rulong (Geoff), Jessica Mitchell (Andrew), Pop Pop of George, Edie, Peter, Henry, Frank, Emeline, Cecilia, Winston and Louie; and his siblings, Ron Gombar (Lenora) and Rita Williams (Dick). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
