She was predeceased by: her husband Diran Shakarjian; her sister Rose Semerjian; her brothers-in-law, John Semerjian and Haigas Artzerounian; and her parents, George Boyajian and Armenouhi Der Hagopian.
She is survived by: her children, Richard G. Shakarjian (Alice), Nancy Hovnanian (Stephen), Susan Kludjian (Dana) and Jeanne Ohnigian (Robert); her grandchildren, Dawn Penecale (Greg), Nick Shakarjian (Lindsay), Stephan Hovnanian (Lisa), Haig Hovnanian, Garo Hovnanian (Tamar), Karinné Andonian (Krikor), Geena Kludjian (Sean Ahern), Peter Ohnigian and Mary Ohnigian; her siblings, Edward Boyajian (Margaret) and Grace Pakhtigian (late Kosrof); and her stepmother Virginia Boyajian. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
