He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Schmidt and Marea Schmidt (Barnes). He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth Schmidt (Viall) of Upper Darby; his siblings, Victor Schmidt, Kenny Schmidt, Larry Schmidt, Dennis Schmidt and Marguerite Clark; and his brother-in-law Raymond Viall.
