Lillian M. Vecchio Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lillian M. Vecchio of Upper Darby, Pennsylvania, who passed away on January 12, 2025, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Lillian departs from this earthly realm, her essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Lillian may no longer walk beside us, her spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Lillian leaves behind.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Daniel Monville and Lillian Monville; her husband John Vecchio; and her brother Daniel Monville. She is survived by: her son Chris Vecchio (Kaci); her grandchildren, Cormac and Orla Vecchio; her sister Lenore Monville Burke; and her close friend Richard Burdumy. She is also survived by her nieces, nephews, and their children, and many friends.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 22nd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Pius X Church (220 Lawrence Rd, Broomall, PA 19008). A funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, January 22nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Saint Pius X Church (220 Lawrence Rd, Broomall, PA 19008).
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in her name either to the Marple Historical Society, https://www.marplehistoricalsociety.org. or the Alzheimer's Association https://www.alz.org.
