He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Cunningham and Rose Cunningham; his wife Gertrude "Grace" Cunningham; his daughter Mary Lou R. Davis (Frank); his daughter-in-law Patricia Cunningham; and his siblings, Anna Ott, Mary Devine, Kate McDevitt, Leo Cunningham and Harry Cunningham.
He is survived by: his children, Francis X. Cunningham, Jr. (Anita), William J. Cunningham, Michael J. Cunningham (Claudia), Rosemary Cunningham Thomas (Geoffrey) and Patricia DiLossi. He is also survived by his 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
