He was predeceased by: his former wife Eleanor C. Gray; his parents, Robert V. Gray and Lillian R. Downs Gray; and his siblings, George Gray, Beatrice Shilmover and Benjamin John Gray.
He is survived by: his son Joey; his wife Arlene L. Payne Gray; his children, Elaine Black (David), Joseph Leon Gray Jr. (Stephanie) and Sarah Gray; his siblings, Roberta Stolar and Robert Gray (Sharon); and his grandchildren, Carl Grisby, Racheal Gray, Ryan Gray and Joseph Leon Gray III.
In lieu of flowers donations in his memory may be made to Chichester United Wesleyan Church.
