It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Strickland Hinze of Unionville, Pennsylvania, who passed away on March 15, 2025, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, John Strickland, Jr. and Florence Barz Strickland (Hinze); his wife Brenda McCarter; his daughter Kelly; his son-in-law Jude Wessels; his son Sean; his daughter-in-law Marsha Hinze; his grandchildren, Ryan, Carson, Macy, Carys and Rhys; and his sisters, Diane (William Moore) and Linda (James Allen).
Visitation was held on Thursday, March 20th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the Reilly, Smith & Boyd Funeral Home, Inc. (410 N Church St, West Chester, PA 19380). A funeral service was held on Thursday, March 20th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, March 20th 2025 at the Birmingham Lafayette Cemetery (1325 Birmingham Rd, West Chester, PA 19382).
Interment will be in Birmingham Lafayette Cemetery, In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to The Fund for the Abramson Cancer Center (https://giving.apps.upenn.edu) in John's memory.
