He was predeceased by: his parents, William Shillings and Mildred Podobinsky Shillings; his wife Terry A. Karpiak Shillings; his brother Edward; and his brother-in-law Stanley Sofish.
He is survived by: his sister Joan Sofish; his nephew Gregory Sofish (Lisa); his great-niece Sarah; his great-nephews, Dylan, Thomas and Andrew Sofish (Rachel); and also, Violet and Nathan.
