It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Sophia Palya of Uniontown, Pennsylvania, who passed away on August 24, 2020, at the age of 98, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, John Almasi and Mary Urchek Almasi; her husband Frank L. Palya; and her siblings, John, Andrew Almasi, Mary Clay, Ann Hudock and Julie Krishan.

She is survived by: her son Larry Palya (Rita); her sisters, Helen Nypaver and Theresa McGarvey; and also, Marge Zentkovich and Helen Vilk. She is also survived by 7 Grandchildren, 18 Great grandchildren.
