He was predeceased by: his parents, Matej Bonk and Katarina Bonk (Slazak); and his siblings, Joseph, John Bonk and Anna Oswald.

He is survived by: his wife Marsha Bonk (Smitley). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews.
