He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Joseph Anthony Swartz Sr., Julia, Samuel and Catherine Wallace; and his pet Layla.

He is survived by: his parents, Joseph Anthony Swartz Jr. (Linda) and Linda Pazicni; his daughter Julia Maria Swartz; his grandson Robert James Dunmire III; and his brother Brian Michael Swartz. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
