He was predeceased by: his parent William R.; his stepfather William Harry McClimans; and his brother Bill McClimans. He is survived by: his parent Donna Jean Sherman Hurd; his children, William A. Hurd II (Maria) of Ellwood City, Eric Jewell (Ashley) of Goose Creek, S. C., Amy Metz (John) of New Castle and Tiffany Washa (Ryan) of Annapolis; and his brothers, George Hurd and Mitch McClimans. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
