He was predeceased by: his parents, Allen Gillis and Sally Gillis; his grandparents, Charles L. and Leona B. Davis of Uniontown, Pennsylvania.; and his sister Laurie Ann Daigle of Natick, Massachusetts..
He is survived by: his siblings, Patricia Kelly-Niemietz of San Antonio and Charles A. Gillis of Myrtle Beach; his godsons, Ed Cupp, Jr. and Chris Sampson of Uniontown, Pennsylvania.; and his pet Butkus Junior. He is also survived by several cousins, nieces, and nephews.
