He was predeceased by: his father Leonard Truley; his grandparents, Leonard, Rebecca Truley, William and Charlotte Murray; his siblings, Daryl Mickens, Donna, Jeanette and Ramona Truley; his uncle Randolph Murray; his aunts, Dorcas Minor, Phyllis Murray and Charlotte Massey; and his nephew Daryl "Doc" Truley.
He is survived by: his mother Janet Truley; his daughter LaToyya Thomas-Dotson (Junebug) of Uniontown, PA; his grandsons, Ronald Dotson III and RhaSheed Dotson; his great grandchild Meilah Dotson; and his siblings, Rogene Truley, Carla Davis, Pamela Truley, Carol Craggette of Connellsville, PA and Anthony Truley of Decatur, GA.
