It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Derek Eugene Honsaker of Uniontown, Pennsylvania, who passed away on January 10, 2023, at the age of 45, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Ray "Butch" Honsaker of Uniontown and Deborah Honsaker Gillis (Martin) of Ohiopyle; his uncles, Eugene "Speedy" Martin, William M. Martin and Samuel A. Martin; his aunt Jill Honsaker Smiley; and his cousins, Lauren Kara Hice, Melissa Malispino and Kelly Ray Perrine.
He is survived by: his stepfather Walter Gillis Sr. of Ohiopyle; his sister Heather Honsaker Beatty (Bob) of Uniontown; his stepsiblings, Erika Johnson (Tom) of Uniontown and Walter Gillis Jr. (Rebecca) of Nevada; and his aunts and uncles, Nancy Martin Mcdowell (Clyde), Tim "Hawk" Martin Hopwood (Karen), Kimberly Martin Lint (Dave) of Uniontown, Susan Martin Hice (John) of Uniontown, Shelley Honsaker Kessler (Henry) of Uniontown and Sharon Honsaker Perrine (Basil) of Uniontown.
