She was predeceased by: her parents, Homer M. Gribble and Sarah McCune Gribble; her husband George R. Vance; her grandson Shawn L. Compher; and her siblings, John Gribble, Martha Buletza and Elizabeth Hough.
She is survived by: her children, Thomas R. Vance (Ann) of Grants Pass, OR, Daniel M. Vance of Mechanicsville, MD, Beth Vilsack (Kenneth) of Uniontown, PA and Amy Walker of Troy, VA; her grandchildren, Julie Compher, Joshua Vance, David Vance, Katie Vance and Kyle Walker; and her great grandchildren, Taylor Bowen, Gabriel Vance and Noah Vance.
The family suggests donations, in memory of Barbara, may be made to Asbury United Methodist Church, 20 Dunbar Street, Uniontown, Pennsylvania 15401.
