She is survived by: her son Jeffrey Wayne Tarpley; and her siblings, Robert, Richard, Kenneth "Pete", Melvin, Christine Fitzgerald, Eleanor Chandler and Lillian Mickens. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and relatives and friends.
