She was predeceased by: her parents, Anthony Zavada and Wanda Zavada; her husband Wilbert Dowling; and her brothers, Richard (Nancy) and Thomas Zavada (Vera).

She is survived by: her children, Colleen Brown (Bob), Monica Avi (Joseph), David Dowling (Darla), Sharon Boucher (Jacques) and Steven Dowling (Kathy); her grandchildren, Justin Avi (Kirsten), Matthew Dowling (Rebecca), Zachary Avi, Andrea Brown (Ali), Leann Brown, Christopher Boucher (Taylor), Maria Baker (Zach), Jacob Boucher (Madison), Anthony Dowling, Jordyn Dowling (Kaleb) and Adam Boucher; and her great grandchildren, Alexander, W. Pierce, Preston, Riley, Avery, Hunter, Jesse, Iris, Cyrus, Noah, Robby and Joey.

Over the years, she imparted her faith to others through her numerous contributions to parish life - mothering Catholic schoolchildren, joining the Christian Mothers group, the Gold Club, Catholic War Vets, and taking part in the Consolation Ministry.
