He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Rice and Lois Rice; his wife V. Diana McLaughlin; his son Richard William; and his father-in-law William McLaughlin.
He is survived by: his brothers, Randy Rice and Jerry Rice of West Virginia; his mother-in-law Barbara McLaughlin of Grove City; and his siblings-in-law, Richard McLaughlin (Sandra) of Barkeyville, PA, Jerry Hovis of Florida and Ellen Kerr (Buck) of Mercer. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
